About Us
Medicare Advantage Majority (MAM) is a 501(c)4 organization dedicated to protecting and strengthening the Medicare Advantage program for 33 million American seniors and people with disabilities – more than half of all eligible Medicare beneficiaries – who depend on it.
MAM is powered by the support of local advocates across the country, including beneficiaries, caregivers, health care providers and community leaders.
What is Medicare Advantage?
The Medicare Advantage (MA) program is the majority Medicare choice for seniors, with 53% of the Medicare population choosing the program, and an incredibly diverse set of beneficiaries – nearly 69% of Latino seniors and 65% of Black seniors choose MA.
The program delivers comprehensive care for beneficiaries that goes beyond Medicare fee-for-service (traditional Medicare). 99% of the eligible population has access to at least one or more MA plan with dental, fitness, vision, and hearing benefits not available in traditional Medicare for 2024. And Medicare Advantage beneficiaries access provider office care more often than traditional Medicare.
Medicare Advantage delivers the highest quality and most affordable choice for the majority of seniors – offering coordinated care with integrated prescription drug coverage, care coordination, nutrition and community benefits and in-home care – all with beneficiary caps on out-of-pocket costs.
